ProfileForge ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, where it is stored, and your rights regarding your data.

ProfileForge Chrome Extension

The ProfileForge Chrome Extension helps you import visible professional information from supported LinkedIn profile and job pages into your ProfileForge career workspace.

On LinkedIn job pages, the extension may read visible job information such as the job title, company, location, job URL, description, employment details, skills, applicant information, and other text displayed in the posting. Job information may be captured automatically after the visible posting has loaded, or imported when you select the import action. This information is transferred to ProfileForge so you can review and save it for job-application preparation.

On LinkedIn profile pages, profile information is read only after you explicitly select “Import My LinkedIn Profile.” The extension does not automatically import profile information.

The extension does not collect LinkedIn passwords, authentication cookies, private messages, connections, session tokens, browsing history, or information from unrelated pages. Captured information is kept in the extension’s local storage for the import and review flow and is sent to ProfileForge only for the stated career-workspace purpose.

Information We Collect

When you use ProfileForge, you may enter personal and professional details such as your name, contact information, job title, industry, skills, career achievements, target role, resume content, LinkedIn profile information, education, certifications, projects, job descriptions, and other career-related information. This information is used to maintain your Career Profile and generate LinkedIn profile content, resumes, resume optimizations, job-tailored resumes, conversions, audits, messages, and personalized Interview Preparation questions and readiness feedback.

If you upload a resume, upload LinkedIn screenshots, or paste LinkedIn profile text, ProfileForge processes that source material to extract candidate Career Profile data for your review. We do not save extracted import data into your Career Profile until you confirm it.

If you create an account, we collect account information such as your email address, name, login provider, session records, usage records, Pro subscription status, Saved Work items (including jobs, interview reports, resumes, and LinkedIn profiles), and optional avatar/profile photo paths.

We may collect product usage and attribution data such as pages visited, feature interactions, approximate region, browser/device type, referral host, sanitized referral URL/path, landing page, and campaign tags. We do not store raw external referrer query strings for attribution, and we do not send names, email addresses, resume text, generated profile text, Saved Work content, or avatar images to Google Analytics.

How We Use Information

We use your information to maintain your Career Profile, process imports for review, generate LinkedIn profile content, resumes, career documents, job-tailored content, messages, and Interview Preparation questions and readiness feedback; manage account access; display your account identity/avatar; enforce free and Pro usage limits; provide Saved Work; process subscription access; respond to feedback; troubleshoot the service; and improve ProfileForge.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

ProfileForge uses Google Gemini AI for generation and supported transcription workflows, Supabase for authentication and storage, Vercel for hosting, Google Analytics for privacy-conscious product analytics, and Polar for web payment processing. If you upgrade to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by Polar and ProfileForge does not store card details.

Data Storage and Retention

Career Profile records, Target Job data, import review records, interview drafts, answers, transcripts, readiness reports, Saved Work items (jobs, interview reports, resumes, and LinkedIn profiles), usage records, Pro access records, account records, and optional avatar paths may be stored in Supabase. Uploaded resume files and LinkedIn screenshots are processed temporarily and are not intentionally stored as files. Voice interview audio is processed for transcription and raw recordings are not retained as Saved Work. Pro users may save up to 5 items in each Saved Work category at a time in their account.

We keep account and service records only as long as needed to operate ProfileForge, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms.

Your Rights and Account Deletion

You can open, edit, or delete Saved Work items from the saved work library where available, including saved jobs, interview reports, resumes, and LinkedIn profiles. Signed-in users can request deletion of their account data, saved work, avatar/photo, or other ProfileForge personal data from Account menu → Request account deletion. Requests are reviewed before processing; login is disabled only after approval, and applicable data is then deleted or anonymized. Users who cannot access their account can use the Delete account support fallback.

Children

ProfileForge is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
